GENERAL CAMP INFO
Preschool Camps:
Your 3-5 yr old is going to have a great time learning the basics of social play and sports. Please send your child in comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. We may also be outdoors so please dress your child weather-appropriately.
We will have snack time and ask parents to send their kiddos in with a healthy (meaning no candy please), peanut-free snack each day.
Pick up and drop off will happen every morning in the gym. This camp runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9-11:30am of the weeks specified. If you need care for your child beyond the hours of Preschool Camp, please contact Kid Central to make an appointment (normal Kid Central policies apply).
Please schedule extra time for the first day to share any pertinent information about your child with the staff or fill out any last minute paperwork.
Big Kid Camps:
Your Big Kid is signed up for fun, healthy learning! Please send your child in comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. We may also be outdoors so please dress your child weather-appropriately.
We will be providing lunch everyday. There will also be a morning snack time where children should bring their own healthy (meaning no candy please), peanut-free snack to keep them well fueled.
Campers will have the opportunity to swim every day. Each camper should come with a swimsuit. For ease we encourage campers to bring a backpack or bag to keep their things in all day. Our schedule is packed and campers will not have time for other activities. Items such as Nintendo DS, ipods and other personal belongings should be left at home; the club cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Campers will take a swim test each week. Campers unable to meet the requirements will wear a life jacket during swim times.
Pick up and drop off will happen every day in the gym. This camp runs M-F 9a-4p. We are also offering morning care from 8-9am, and aftercare from 4-6pm. Please check in at the front desk for morning and aftercare pickup and drop off locations as they will vary based on activity and sign ups. Please schedule extra time for the first day to share any pertinent information about your child with the staff and fill out any last minute paperwork.
Big Kid Recess
Big Kid Recess is a great opportunity for children ages 5-12 to get out of the house and get active! Big Kid Recess will be offered throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6p. ! Please send your child in comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. We may also be outdoors so please dress your child weather-appropriately.
Recess Staffers will rotate activities, keeping kids active and engaged. Personable valuables, such as Nintendo DS and ipods should be left at home. The club cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Big Kid Recess is a drop-in program but reservations are available and recommended.
CHILD BEHAVIOR POLICY FOR CAMPS AND RECESS
At OAC we want every kid to have a fun, safe visit in our group setting; in order to provide that we have put some behavior policies in place.
Children are expected to participate in all activities, and to show good behavior and sportsmanship. No fighting, behavior tantrums or disruptions will be tolerated. Please make sure your child is socially, physically and emotionally ready for camp. If a child has ongoing behavioral or other challenges the parent may be contacted and required to take the child home. Failure to do so could result in camp privilege taken away for the child or family. No refunds will be given-even for shyness/nonparticipation issues.
Please contact a Family Program Manager for more information or if you have any questions at all!
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CAMPS
In the unlikely event the minimum registration number is not met by 7 days prior to the start date, camp will be cancelled and any registered participants will be notified by phone. A full refund or credit for the cancelled week will be given at that time.
